The spacing of the rings on the ADM Delta mount are too far apart for a Nightforce 2.5-10x42. You need to use one of the ADM Recon mounts. The rings are spaced closer together. I am running that setup on my Scar 17. Ray
Thanks, you posted as I was typing. That's what I was looking for.

Hello,

I'm jumping in this thread late, but was hoping to get an answer. I can't get one after countless searches. Ha! Anyway, Scar 17, with Trijicon TR24 due to my doorstep in days. I'm looking at a nice price on AD Recon 30 STD. Will the scope simply clear BIUS on Scar 17???

better yet, would I require the cantilevered mount?

thanks in advance

Yes it does. W/O the Butler Creek covers it fits fine. W/covers you have to clear material slightly to get it to fit over the BUIS, if I recall correctly. But it does work with the AD Recon 30.

It depends on how far back you mount it. I use the TR24 on my Scar 16 in the ADM Recon-S mount and don't have a problem clearing the BUIS, but I have the scope mounted a little forward of the rear sight. This is the ideal scope position for me but I'm pretty tall so like my scopes a little further forward. With the generous eye relief though I don't see why you would need to mount it further back.

I am unfamiliar with which mounts or rings to buy, I see some guys running the 20 degree cant mounts, but I may just purchase the basic Leupold rings for my VX-R for now. Why the Cant?

You really don't need the 20 degree mount. Most guys only install those on bolt guns to get waaaay out there and a lot of times with the bigger calibers. I'd just go with the leupys for now. You can always venture into the one piece mount arena later if you wish.

ADM QD is awesome.

This happened on the Aimpoint Micro/ ADM QD.
Please be aware that the small springs that give the unit a springy rebound feel, seat down into their own little nooks when tightened down.

As the user releases the QD, switching the OPEN lever and placing the unit in a pocket etc., the small spring has the chance to get bumped out of it's home (lost).
The levers need to be re-locked down to keep the springs secure from a good bounce on a picnic table or temporary gear dump pouch for the optic.
The QD clamp should still work without the springs, but it sure will tick ya' off when tinkering around out in the field.

I was shooting and acting as if my T1 micro had gone down and I needed to get it off the rail and keep shooting. It could have rattled out in my pocket or when I somewhat bumped it around the picnic table.
All in all, This was just my personal experience from tossing it in my pocket while it was an open QD system.

Call ADM for more springs. They have you covered.
This was my only gripe.
The mount is awesome, just be careful with open ADM QD levers.

check out the new midwest industries qd mounts. they work similar to the adm mounts but they have a much better designed release lever with no losing the little tension springs and with an easier to use locking lever release catch. ive had one on my 17s acog ta11 for a few months now return to zero is perfect just a better unit all round
